Sleepless

These dark circles under eyes are the obvious truth. Stress is the culprit. The weird thing is we have no huge projects at work that were really stressing me out before. I am thinking it must be the weather. Three storms in three weeks can be a real hassle for a commuter like me. Yes, I have been doing that for five years, but the tiring travel going home that sometimes take more than three hours can be something.

Reading books was my solution before, but that doesn't work right now. Drinking milk was suggested by my mother. I think I should give it a shot.

Movie Project

I have been helping a friend of mine in a documentary movie about Up Dharma Down. We have been working on it for months now. Despite the many work hours I have been spending with it, I never fail to work on my blog tasks, like a detailed review on redmax. Been monitoring my blog feeds for a long time and I am happy that it is improving.

Anyways, going back to the movie, I was able to contribute major things with it. Our director needed to use a clip that was copyrighted by MTV. I wrote an e-mail for their Marketing department without any expectations. MTV is a huge company, and it won't be a surprise of they won't even read my e-mail. Come Tuesday, I received a reply. And this morning, I was able to really close the deal by them sending us the clips we need.

Lyrics to Up Dharma Down's Indak

Up Dharma Down - Indak

Tatakbo at gagalaw
Mag-iisip kung dapat bang bumitaw
Kulang na lang, atakihin
Ang pag-hinga’y nabibitin

Ang dahilan na alam mo na
Kahit ano pang sabihin nila

Pipikit na lamang at mag-sasayaw
Habang nanonood siya…

Paalis at pabalik
May baong yakap at suklian ng halik
Mag-papaalam at mag-sisisi

Saturday Thoughts

Spent the day here at home all day. Most of it was being in front of the computer and reading and writing about random and not so random stuff. It's so random, I wonder where it came from. Here are the list of the things I read and thought about today:

  • reasons why people are worried about the end the world too much
  • petroleum hose
  • how to cook pesto with grilled chicken
  • all about what's to come in the IT Industry
  • trending topics on Twitter

Random Thing

There are moments that I think about the most random things; like how convenient it will be to have these hand dryers around. Rainy season can be a little tricky and maybe I'd find myself soaked that I need an immediate solution to dry myself up.

Or, I don't know, maybe use it to dry my hair. My favorite part of the morning is drying my hair using the electric fan. And an actual dryer would actually come in handy with this everyday task. But then that'll be another huge problem because I just chopped my hair to its shortest possible length. Hand dryers and the many things it can do -- I think I have to make time and figure out those other things.

Kids Stuff

Personal Creations kids gifts has the most amazing items on their catalog! Been looking for the perfect gift for my niece that'll be celebrating her birthday this weekend. Work had been crazy and I never had time to go to the mall to buy a gift. My niece will be turning 2 this Sunday and wouldn't want to go empty-handed at this weekend's party. Her parents prepared a ranch-themed party. I have no idea why they decided to have that theme though. I mean, the little girl loves Elmo and Disney Princess so it's a bit confusing. Anyways, I got her the Elmo shirt from the online store so I am all geared up for the party, yay! :)

Random Wednesday Thoughts

  • How many times Lord Voldemort shouted at the latest Harry Potter trailer?
  • What is cissus quadrangularis?
  • Arrogance is when one delivers a joke thinking everyone in the room will find it funny.
  • More arrogant is when one think that that person who doesn't find his joke funny is stupid and not accept the fact that not all jokes are funny to some people.
  • I will make pancakes this weekend.
  • The King's Speech is a semi-predictable movie. I haven't finished watching it (yes, I am watching it in chunks for three days now. The reason? Don't even ask), but I kind of have this feeling that I already know how will it end.
  • Wednesday is my favorite day.

William and Kate: A Fairytale

The wedding was three days ago, and I still can't help but giggle everytime I see a clip or a picture from that momentous event in history. The whole event is like a fairy tale happening in real life: a Prince marrying an ordinary girl. Time had definitely changed as royals in Brittain are now allowed to marry anyone they please. One is not necessarily need to have a royal inclination whatsoever.

I do not know how many times Kate Middleton was called a commoner by the media. Imagine the awkwardness of it all, being coined and hailed as a 'commoner'. But it was all worth it since not only she married a prince, but she will also be with her best friend and her true love forever.

Now, on with the wedding thank you cards.

Pool

These handicap pool lifts will come in handy when we decide to bring out cousin to the nearby pool. He's been handicapped for as far as I can remember. His family are very diligent in taking care of him, making sure that he lives a normal life. Water activities are his favorite. He likes having a dip in the pool every now and then. Riding a bed-like floater and playing the water with his hands relaxes him.

One time, the family brought him to a beach. It was a three-hour drive but it was all worth the trouble. The smile on his face was indescribable.
