Unemployment

The local news have been filled with what's happening in Egypt and Libya. The main concern of each news item is about the government's plans (or lack thereof) on how to gather all the Filipinos working overseas. It has been more than a month since the turmoil in Egypt. I believe a lot of our workers from Egypt have been sent home. The chaos in Libya had been the main concern of DFA. Part of the plan is also giving our workers an option of having a new job to replace the jobs they left.

I hope careers like accounting finance jobs and other alternatives will be offered to the now unemployed OFW's that were saved from Libya and Egypt.

Semi-Hiatus

So both my laptop and desktop isn't working. The laptop's video card got busted and the desktop's RAM's broken. And this happened the same week! Talk about bad luck. I have a normal blogging routine and it's somewhat ruined because of technical issues. I started my Project 365 this year. I'm starting to get the hang of it and then this happens. I've missed seven days of my posts. Been taking pictures though, but the application I used to edit my pictures are all on my laptop. I want to keep it consistent that's why I stopped.

Today was slow. Been up since 9am and spent my day watching TV. Haven't done that in a long time.

Baby Elephants

I found these adorable baby elephant ring holder gift for her at RedEnvelope.com:

Jenny would adore this. She loves baby animals, and loves elephants too. I didn't know they make ring holder designs like these. All I see at our nearby craft stores are tree-shaped or generic ones. They're manageable,  but having designed ones are cool too. Better place my order now for Jenny. Just in time for her birthday :)

Progress

I am reading the best diet pills on the market
while waiting for my Aunt the other day. I have a date with her to check on her progress regarding her diet program. She started the program earlier last year. She did it to prepare for her husband's homecoming in a few months. She weighs 250 pounds before and now she's 190. Amazing, right?

Second Family

There it was on my Inbox again: hydroxycut. I cannot remember how many articles I have written about it. Well, it seems effective since the client is always asking me to do a write-up about it on my blogs. Awesome.

 

Anyways, in other news, I want to share this photo I took from the recent Los Banos trip.

 

 

I consider these guys as my 2nd family. I am very blessed to have them in my life :)

Hello, Monday

The past weekend was one of the best weekends I've had so far. Had a day trip with my friends to Los Baños, Laguna and then went to my best friend's husband's birthday party after.

The tanning bed lotion and the sun block have been very helpful during our Laguna trip. The group was already on the road, en route to Pook ni Maria Makiling as early as 6am. The sunrise was breathtaking and I knew it will be a great day. 8am we're already in Laguna. We had the resort to ourselves the whole morning. Grilled sausages and hotdogs were the main menu for the trip. You can either pair with rice or a loaf of bread. We also had wine and a few beers. It was a glorious day to swim because summer is just kicking in. :)

Later that night, I went to my best friend's husband's birthday bash. It was the first time I met her husband's friends. They're all really fun and cool to be with. I've made new friends. I am hoping all of them will add me on Facebook, hehe.

Up Dharma Down goes South

 

Up Dharma Down will be playing at San Mig in Alabang on 20 February 2010. They will be playing a back-to-back gig with Encounters With A Yeti. The gig will start at 10PM. I bet these bands will be playing long sets as this will be their first gig of the year in the south. Do come if you have time :)

Angry Birds

I just had to stop writing my fat burner supplements and really take a moment to read the contents of this poster that popped out on Twitter:

Angry Birds! Probably still the most popular game right now, it wasn't long enough that memes like these would come out. Likability scale of every bird from the popular game: brilliant! I am halfway through the game, and actually would want to finish it. I am at the level with yellow birds that launches itself in double speed when tapped. 

Simultaneous

So both my desktop and laptop isn't working. How bad is that? I need to write apidextra reviews; 4 of them that needs to be submitted within the week. I guess I need to really think about an alternative when something like this happens. I could use my brother's iPod to blog, but that's near possible because it's always with him. My father suggested I try and use the PlayStation but that's another impossible task. Typing using the PSP is bad. But I need to blog, so I guess where I am will do.

Another problem will be how to send e-mails. I do my correspondence with clients via e-mail. Now this is a bit of challenge since I cannot access my e-mail using my phone.

Now what...

More Deftones

Before I begin my research on how to buy gold, let me share the photos from last Saturday’s Deftones concert. I am pretty sure you’ve enjoyed the video below this post. I only used my phone to take pictures from the concert. And all of it turned out pretty great. We are a few feet away from the stage, so the close-up shots were from the big screen. Enjoy! :)

 

Deftones' Sextape Live

Me at Deftones' concert last night was totally unexpected. It was because of my best friend, Marife. She's a huge huge fan of the band. Her plans with her friends got screwed up the last minute. She texted me yesterday morning if I wanted to join her. Watching a rock concert with your best friend? I wouldn't miss it for the world.

February

There are things that I need to write today. I am starting my task with raleigh carpet cleaning and other related information about that service. It’s very interesting because not all people have carpets around here, I really need to send out e-mails containing questionnaires to people I know from the city that can share their opinion on carpet cleaning services.
