Overdue Letter

I wrote my friend Dominique a letter earlier today. She lives in the UK and we only had the chance to catch up with what’s happening to our own dear lives through email and Facebook. I thought I share with you the letter before I start writing about car accessories since it also summed up the things that are happening and will be happening in my life for the next few months.

Hi Dominique,

I hope this e-mail finds you well. I really appreciate that you went through all the trouble of texting me and asking about my Facebook account. Well, it's back now so we could constantly write on each other's walls, hehe :P.

I'm in the office right now, taking a breather. I am currently in the middle of writing a Detailed Design Document for a new software we're working on. It's due today, but it's Monday and my brain is still on the weekend mode. Tinatamad pa ako, heee. Speaking of work, I am a bit worried and excited at the same time for the company's Christmas party theme this year: The Prom. This means I really need to find a ball gown or a cocktail dress and shoes to match for the said event. I am not a fan of these kinds of parties since I do not know how to fix myself in a grand sort of way. I've been looking for designs online and would ask a dressmaker maybe in Binangonan or Taytay to make the dress for me instead of buying one at the mall. Plus I need to learn to put on lipstick, blush and all the shebang that comes with looking grand. Wah. Wish me luck. :D

Still no boyfriend. Met with Raymond a couple of months back. We had dinner, chatted a bit and then catch the late night screening of Year One. I still am in awe at times when he would send me texts asking me if we could meet and chat. He shared some things, but what really struck me is he's thinking of pursuing his original plan in life which is entering the seminary and be a priest. It was a very nice chat since we talked about things like at the age of 30, where do we see ourselves. I wasn't surprised that I still don't know the answer to that, but I am not worried though. The evening was fine until he had this awkward moment that I do not understand why he had it. He just started acting all weird. I dunno. :| But the evening ended well. He never texted me since that night.

My mother had been in and out of the hospital for the past couple of months. I am really lucky that our company has the best medical benefits. I am starting to get worried though because she said her left eye is starting to get blind. Her mother got blind before she died with diabetes. She's scheduled to have her eyes checked this Friday so let's cross our fingers and hope that everything's all right.

How about you? Kwento ka naman. What book are you reading? Ako, yung ibinigay mo na Tales of the Unexpected ni Roald Dahl. Also, I finished writing my review on 500 Days Of Summer on my blog. I am in love with Joseph Gordon-Levitt :P. Do check out the film if you have time.

I miss our chats over coffee. ♥

Ingat lagi,

Bel :)

Summer and Sundays

While I only have 37 minutes left of my Sunday, I still have some few notes to write. It’s pretty much all keyboard stokes and series updates in between for me today. Wishing for another hour to extend the day would be crazy, but I think it’s just what I need to finish my research about home gyms to call this a day. Inserted a little bit of fun on my busy day by spending some time working on my review for 500 Days Of Summer.

Tom & Summer

You can now read the whole review on my official personal blog. For now, I need to set my self in calling this a day since I have to wake up as early as 4am to start my week.

Good night, everyone! :)

Starting My Saturday Early

Actually, my Friday isn’t over yet since I still have to update a few things on the different web directories list my blogs are registered in. There are certain spam emails I’ve been receiving and it has been cluttering my Inbox. Tweaking the settings will do the trick. A few clicks and drags and my Inbox will soon be spam free.

Anyways, in other news, today is going to be a long day since I’ll be having my students here at home in a few hours. We’ll be eating lunch and do some karaoke singing. Needed something different to do this weekend so I’ve decided to invite them over after giving them their class cards.

Dozing off now. Be back in a few.

Thursday was good to me.

I’ve been pretty much elated with the good news that came my way today. As much as I wanted to share how my day went, I still have to research and write about industrial computer for a client. And I still need to study for Saturday’s class. Yeah, still the workaholic me. It had been all work and no play for the past months. Good thing, I have TV series episodes to keep me intact. Hehe :P
