First ever font set created by a Filipino?

A Pinoy illustrator under the name Quiccs at deviantArt created a new set of fonts and hailed it “Amputa Bangiz” (f*ckin amazing is one version when you translate it in English).
Very clever.
Could this be the first set of fonts created by a Filipino? I do not know about that, but I think its pretty cool. Looking at the strokes and the designs of the characters reminds me of folded papers and those characters drawn on the walls done by frat boys found in the dark corners of the metro.
Click on the picture above to download the Amputa Bangiz font set and preview art. Do not forget to credit Quiccs if you’ll be using the font on your projects.
